Welcome to our Long Beach Community

We’re glad you stopped in…

A Message from the LBCA on the Covid-19 Emergency Response

We hope that all residents are staying safe during these times.  We have received a few inquiries on how the recent Stay at Home Order from Governor Hogan affects the Long Beach community and specifically the use of our beaches.  Per the Order:

“Exercising Outdoors: People are allowed to leave their homes to exercise in accordance with social distancing guidelines.”

This means that Long Beach residents can continue to take walks in the community and use the beaches as long as they practice social distancing.  We would ask that people not gather in groups, remain stationary in walking paths or in areas of high usage.  If you are concerned, have any COVID – 19 symptoms or believe you have come in contact with the virus, please stay home.

As always, please use your common sense and best judgment.  Further details on what’s allowed, and what’s not allowed under the Maryland Stay at Home Order can be found <here>.

Note:  The Calvert County Sheriff’s Office has just released an App with local COVID – 19 alerts and info.  You can download it at the App store.

Hopefully you can enjoy the beautiful Spring weather and please stay safe.

CALVERT COUNTY:  To ensure citizens have the most up-to-date information, CCG has launched a virtual resource center on its website. Citizens can find the latest updates surrounding Calvert County’s response to COVID-19, including any precautionary measures, guidance and closures, at www.CalvertCountyMd.gov/Coronavirus. Residents, employees and media are encouraged to regularly monitor the page and use the resources available.

“Calvert County will use every tool at our disposal in responding to COVID-19,” said Board of County Commissioners President Kelly McConkey. “We are closely monitoring the situation and will continue to update our citizens as needed. Our citizens’ health and safety is our top priority.”

Major updates will continue to appear on the Calvert County Government website, www.CavertCountyMd.gov, Facebook page at www.facebook.com/CalvertCountyMd and Comcast Channel 6.

Looking forward to a great year in 2020!!
